What is Expo 2020
Expo 2020 is the mother of all exhibitions. It was scheduled for the year 2020. The show postponed for one year due to Covid-19 pandemic. In short Exhibition or Exposition of year 2020 is Expo 2020. It will star on 1st October 2021 and will continue till 31st March, 2022.
The even is the biggest ever exhibition in the Arab world. It is also another first in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia ( M E A S A ) region.
It is a place for nations and people to show case their greatest innovations and inventions or discoveries. And it is happening in the emirate of Dubai in United Arab Emirates. So, it is also called Dubai Expo 2020. Even though the year is changed to 2021, the name of the event is not changed. Authorities decided to keep the same name.
The main venue of the event is South Dubai. The location is called Dubai Convention Centre. From Bur Dubai to Expo Convention center, the distance is about 45 kilometers and travel time is nearly 1 hour.
Out of total countries in the world, 192 countries are participating in the Expo this time. This time all the participating countries having individual pavilions.
The event will have nearly 25 million visitors as per expectation of organizers. The total area of the event location is nearly 1083 acres. It is between the Abu Dhabi Emirate and Bur Dubai – the heart of Dubai.
What is the purpose of Expo 2020
Purpose of the exposition is display of innovations and progress of a country or a region or even a company. Many new things will display in the event by participants for the first time.
Visitors will get a chance to experience new things at an exposition. Also, it is a market place. If a person, entity or country is interested in buying or taking anything displayed in the expo, a new business deal will start from there.

Theme of Expo
Connecting minds and creating the future through sustainability mobility and opportunity is the theme in this expo.
It has been divided in to three main segments. They are Sustainability District, Mobility District and Opportunity District.
In Sustainability district, it is a huge and continuous teaching class of taking care of our nature. In this segment every pavilion will say about conserving of earth. We are all in a high-tech world now. With the help of technology and artificial intelligence, we can make our world a better place and hurt the nature less.
The segment reminds us to make use of renewable energy such as Solar, wind, waves etc. Traditional source of energies are expensive as well as more polluting. We can make electricity, harvest water, store water received excess during rain etc. to conserve earth.
Expo 2020 Date
Friday, 1st October 2021 To Thursday 31st March 2022.
When awarded to Dubai in 2013, date mentioned for the event was 20 October 2020 to 10 March 2021. Due to covid 19 pandemic situation, the global event re-scheduled to the new date above.
