There are two main lotteries in Oman. The Muscat Duty-Free conducts a raffle draw with the name “The Big Cash Ticket”. The draw has a first prize of 100,000 US Dollars (One hundred thousand US Dollars). Omillionaire is another raffle draw with a huge bumper prize. Omillionaire is also a draw of Oman government. In this raffle draw, one can win up to 200,000,000 Dirhams in cash. Planting more tress and helping environment is the purpose of this draw or raffle. First Prize of Omillionaire Lottery Draw
The first prize of Omillionaire lottery draw as of January 2024 is OMR 9,350,000 approximately for matching 7 out of 7 numbers of the ticket with the winning numbers. This will be nearly AED 93,500,000 when converting. The first prize or bumper prize amount will increase with every draw until and unless there is a winner of it. The maximum amount of the bumper prize will be AED 100,000,000 (Hundred Million Dirhams Only) or 10 Million Omani Rials. There are other prizes to win in this raffle. The second prize is OMR 25,000 approximately for matching 6 out of 7 numbers on the ticket with the winning numbers. For matching 5 numbers, there is an amount of OMR 500/- approximately.
Purpose of Omillionaire draw
The purpose of the Omillionaire draw is afforestation of the region and reduce the effect of CO2 emission. The activity of forestation by planting trees is not only within the territory of Oman but in the neighboring countries also. UAE is the latest addition to the region Omillionaire and their strategic partners started planting trees. Management of the draw is associated with the ‘Oasis Part’ of Oman to plant fresh trees across the region. Oasis Park concentrates on environmental protection through more forestation and reduction of hazards of CO2 emission.
Cost of Omillionaire Ticket
Each Omillionaire ticket will cost of OMR2.50 or AED25/-. When a person pays this amount he or she will receive a Green Certificate for helping plant a tree. Along with, there will be a raffle ticket to with unique serial number to enter the lucky draw. Buyer needs to select 7 numbers from the issued ticket and submit. Every Thursday at 8 pm, the lucky draw happens and 3 persons will receive OMR 10,000 each thru serial numbers of the tickets issued. Those who matches selected numbers will get prizes according to the structure. The grand prize is for matching all 7 numbers with the winning number selected by the machine on draw date.
First Prize of The Big Cash Ticket
The first prize of the Big Cash Ticket is US Dollars one hundred thousand only. The prize is limited to one amount for clarity on the prize structure. Every draw will happen after the complete sale of tickets issued and printed for that particular draw. Each draw has identification or serial numbers. The latest draw winner is from serial number 67. The lucky number of draw number 67 was 3545. The total amount of USD 100,000 in the local currency of Oman is approximately 37,000(OMR).
Total tickets of the Big Cash Ticket
A total of 4000 tickets are issued in each draw of the Big Cash Ticket. One can buy tickets either from Muscat International Airport or online using www.muscatdutyfree.com. As every raffle draw requires, this draw too requires the age of buyers above 18 years.
Cost of the Big Cash Ticket
Each big cash ticket will cost you OMR 20/- or AED 200/-. Once the whole 4000 tickets are sold, the draw will happen. Sometimes, there may be multiple draws happening. Other than the Cash raffle draw, vehicle raffle draws also happen. The ticket cost of the vehicle raffle draw varies according to the type of vehicle for the draw.
